MACE (Mansfield Adult Community Education) has been successful in achieving a $105,000 grant from the Victorian School Building Authority through the Building Blocks Grants - Planning Stream.
This funding will support vital planning and preconstruction work for the expansion of MACE’s childcare facilities, addressing the growing demand for kindergarten and pre-prep places in the Mansfield community.
Kylie Richards, CEO of MACE, said that the Building Blocks Grants - Planning Stream is designed to aid in the planning process, encompassing scope development, design, and costing necessary before a project can be tendered for construction.
“This grant will enable us to move forward with the expansion of our not-for-profit childcare, ensuring we are prepared to meet the needs of our expanding population. We are incredibly grateful for the support from the Victorian School Building Authority," Ms Richards said.
"The funds will allow us to take significant steps towards expanding our facilities and ensuring that every child in our community has access to quality early childhood education," Ms Richards said.
“As our community continues to grow, so does the need for accessible and high-quality childcare and kindergarten services. This grant will enable us to create a comprehensive plan for expansion, ensuring that we are well-equipped to support the roll-out of Three-Year-Old Kindergarten and Pre-Prep programs,” Ms Richards said.
“Our success in securing this grant is a testament to MACE’s proactive approach to addressing the increasing demand for childcare and kindergarten services in our region. We are excited to have appointed Taylor Engineering and Design as our consultants on this project. Together, we aim to plan an expansion that will become a fresh, fun, and important service for our local families,” Ms Richards added.
